Terms of Payment
Due on application to the program:
- Deposit of $1,250.00 per person payable, by cheque, money order or credit card to Ventresca Travel Agency Ltd.
- The balance, payable by cheque, money order or credit card, is due March 31, 2025. Students who register after March 31 must pay the amount due when they apply.
Travel Arrangements
Students who go with the group to Ireland may change their return date for an additional fee, subject to availability. Group prices are ex Toronto. Ventresca Travel Agency Ltd and The Irish Experience Ltd accept no liability for students who choose to extend their stay in Europe beyond the end of the program.
Students who do not fly with the group and/or make their own round-trip travel arrangements will receive a $1,000.00 deduction, including taxes, surcharges and other fees, from the program fee. Students who only travel one-way with the group will receive a discount as per travel agent, Ventresca Travel Agency. Students who arrive before the first day or who stay after the last day of the program are responsible for their own accommodation and transportation to and from the residences, and other travel arrangements. As much as possible, we will work with the parents and students to help facilitate their plans.
Travel Documentation
You will need a valid passport with an expiry date of at least 6 months after our return date, and failure to comply could result in being denied boarding of the aircraft. If you do not hold a valid Canadian passport, please consult the appropriate Embassy/Consulate as to whether or not visas are required. Ventresca Travel Agency and Irish Experience Ltd. accept no responsibility for inadequate travel documents and there will be no refunds in the event of a student being denied boarding of the aircraft or entry to Ireland.
Cancellation Policy
All requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing to Ventresca Travel Agency. Prior to March 31, 2025, the deposit of $1,250.00, minus the application fee of $250.00 and all credit card or payment fees, will be refunded in full.
Cancellations made between March 28 and May 31, 2025 will be refunded 50% of funds issued to Ventresca Travel Agency Ltd.
Cancellations made after May 31, 2025 will forfeit the entire cost of the program.
No refunds will be given for students who voluntarily withdraw during the program, nor will there be any refund for any student who is asked to leave the program for use of drugs or alcohol or breach of the rules of the program.
Cancellation and Health Insurance
The TIPS Ultimate Youth Premier Cancellation and Health Insurance policy. is included in the program costs. This is the most comprehensive policy available and includes coverage in the event that your trip needs to be cancelled or interrupted due to illness. Coverage is also provided for students who may have to delay their return due for medical reasons.
Personal liability insurance is the responsibility of the individual. All insurance coverage contains exclusions. It is the responsibility of the insured and their guardian to ensure that they read the insurance policy and understand what these exclusions comprise. Coverage for expenses or benefits arising from or related to a pre-existing medical condition may be denied
Health Information
Students and parents will complete a Health Information Form before departure. Parents and students are required to provide accurate and current information about any academic, behavioural, physical, psychological, social or emotional concerns. If important health or behavioural related information has not been disclosed the student may be withdrawn from the program and sent home at the expense of parents. All money paid will be nonrefundable.
Student Behaviour
Students and their parents will sign a behaviour contract before departure agreeing to observe the rules of the program and accepting the consequences of breach of the rules, including expulsion, at the expense of parents, for a serious breach. There will be no refund for any student who is asked to leave the program for use of drugs or alcohol or serious breach of the rules of the program. Students are expected to adhere to the laws of the country, curfew rules, attend classes daily, and treat all members of the staff and fellow students with respect. Students are responsible for any damage they may cause. Students must undertake to reimburse Irish Experience Ltd. for expenses due to damage. Use of illegal drugs, alcohol consumption, or use of motorized vehicles is not permitted. Overnight stays not related to the program are not allowed without the clear express written permission of parents.
Students and parents will also complete the Parent/Guardian Permission Form – All Excursions, and the TCDSB’s Summer School Registration
Changes to Itinerary
All rates are based on current tariffs and exchange and are subject to adjustment in the event of changes therein. Program costs are guaranteed once a student has registered. Schedules, departure dates, times and itineraries quoted by Irish Experience Ltd. are subject to change without notice.
Responsibility
The Irish Experience Ltd. and its representatives act as the agents for the accrediting institutions with regard to all travel and accommodation arrangements. Credits are issued by those institutions in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education Guidelines. Accrediting institutions are responsible for providing the instructional component of the Program only, and accept no responsibility for travel arrangements or activities not related to the academic component. Courses are offered subject to School Board approval and minimum enrolment. The Irish Experience Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any course by March 28, 2024 by offering a place in another course or a full refund.
Schedules, departure dates, times and itineraries quoted by The Irish Experience Ltd. are subject to change without notice. The Irish Experience Ltd. acts only as air and accommodation agent for all of the services included in the program and as such will exercise reasonable care in making the arrangements for, and the conduct of the program.
All or part of the deposits and final payments paid by program participants to Ventresca Travel Agency Ltd. will be sent to the various suppliers of services included in the tour. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that no additional travel documents are required. The Irish Experience, Ventresca Travel Agency Ltd and the accrediting institutions are not responsible for inadequate travel documents. The Irish Experience Ltd. and Ventresca Travel Agency Ltd. do not assume any responsibility or liability for any claims, damages, expenses or other financial loss whether to person or property arising out of injury, accident, death, cancellation, delay, alteration or inconvenience resulting from any act of omission, or inadvertence of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, or other company or person rendering any of the services included in the program or caused by weather, sickness, strikes, quarantines or the willful or negligent acts or any other cause whatsoever beyond the control of The Irish Experience ltd. and Ventresca Travel Agency Ltd. All tickets, coupons and orders are furnished and issued subject in all respects to the terms and conditions imposed thereon. Airlines and other transportation companies whose services are featured in these programs are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their conveyance. The passage contract in use by these companies issued shall constitute the sole contract between the companies and the purchaser of this program.
